The majority of these migrate to Sri Lanka during the northern winter and present from about August/September to April/May. Arrival at the Airport. Transfer to hotel in Colombo.
Afternoon Colombo City tour including a visit to the Muthurajawela & Bellanwila
Bird Sanctuary. Overnight at hotel

COLOMBO / PINNAWALA / SIGIRIYA- 170 KM – 3 ½ hrs   
After breakfast leave for Sigiriya. En-route visit the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawela. A unique sanctuary in the world for orphanage elephants.
Afternoon, leave for Habarana for Bird Watching in the vicinity of Habrana Tank /
Reservoir thereafter climb Sigiriya rock fortress. Declared as the 8th wonder of
the ancient world.  Overnight at hotel.

SIGIRIYA / POLONNARUWA / SIGIRIYA– 65 KM – 1 hr
After early breakfast. visit ruins of Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka’s 2nd Kingdom – popularly known as the medieval capital.
Afternoon Safari tour to Minneriya  National  Wildlife Park. Overnight at Hotel

SIGIRIYA / DAMBULLA / MATALE / KANDY– 95 KM -  2 ½ hrs
After breakfast leave for Kandy visiting Dambulla Cave Temple – famous for wall & ceiling paintings. In the evening witness the Cultural show & Fire-walking. Overnight at hotel.

KANDY/ KITULGALA (Camping)
Early morning visit the Udawattekale Bird Sanctuary with a picnic Breakfast. Proceed to Kitulgala. Leave on a Bird Trail in the evening and return to the camp-site for overnight stay.

KITULGALA / NUWARA – ELIYA – 100 KM 4 hrs
Early morning leave on a Bird Trail to Bandarakale with a picnic Breakfast. Proceed to Nuwara-Eliya visiting a Tea Factory on the way. Afternoon visit Hakgala Botanical Gardens. Overnight at hotel.

NUWARA – ELIYA
After breakfast Nature Hike to Horton Plains National Park for bird watching visiting World’s End. Overnight at hotel.

NUWARA – ELIYA / TISSAMAHARAMA
After breakfast leave for Tissamaharama.
Afternoon commence 4WD Jeep Safari to Yala National Park
Overnight at hotel.

TISSAMAHARAMA / HAMBANTOTA (Beach)
After breakfast Leave for Hambantota
Kalametiya sanctuary is located in the Hambanthota district, Southern Province. It contains two interconnected lagoons namely, Lunama and Kalametiya. Total of 700ha land including these two lagoons and surroundings is declared as a sanctuary by the Department of Wildlife Conservation. It consists many habitat types including mangrove forests, reedbeds, grasslands, scrub forests and marshlands.
Afternoon leisure at hotel.
Overnight stat ay hotel.

HAMBANTOTA (Beach)
Early morning 4WD Jeep safari tour to Bundala National Park. Evening leisure at hotel.
Overnight at hotel.

HAMBANTOTA / UDAWALAWA / RATNAPURA (Singharaja)  
After Breakfast leave for Udawalawa.
Commence 4WD Jeep Safari to Udawalawa National Park. Continue the journey to Ratnapura (Singharaja).
Sinharaja is low land rain forest which has higher biological diversity. It proposed as world heritage site in1989.This rain forest boarded by Galle,Rathnapura and Mathara district. The highest peak in the forest is Hinipitigala(1170m)and this forest is a catchment area for Gin, Koskulana and Maha gaga.
Overnight at camp-site or eco-lodge

RATNAPURA / COLOMBO
After breakfast, leave for Colombo.
Overnight stay at hotel.

COLOMBO/ AIRPORT– 100 KM 2 ½ hrs
Leave for Colombo after breakfast. City tour of Colombo.
Late evening departure.
